Giving Thanks...

Hey Everyone,

First of all, we’d like to say THANK YOU to every single one of you who came out for Sunday’s 7th Annual Santa Photos. It was a fantastic day, and you all helped us raise just over $3700 for the Hermosa Beach Education Foundation! Wooo hoooo!

If you missed it, don’t worry… Santa will be back this Sunday from 10am-4pm along with our incredible photographer Lauren Pressey and our amazing HBEF volunteers. It takes a village people, and ours is a strong one, we are a very lucky bunch.

You can feel good about shopping and eating here at Gum Tree TODAY, because we’ll be donating 10% of total sales in our shops and cafe to Sandpipers!

If you’re heading to someone else’s place for Thanksgiving, pop in to grab a hostess gift. If you’re hosting the big day, take a break from all that cooking and cleaning for a bit of avocado toast and a cappuccino.

Walk Pier Avenue and get your holiday shopping started with some of our fantastic neighbors who are participating too… Beach and Beverly, Wicked+, Details, Shanna Shryne Design, Lavish and Montce Swim will all be donating 10% of today’s sales to the this fantastic local women’s organization that has been giving back to the less fortunate here in the South Bay area for more than 80 years!

Gum Tree will be closed for Thanksgiving Day so that we may rest and over eat…

And then we’ll be right back at it on Black Friday with a 9am opening, doughnuts, black coffee and 20% off anything black in both shops!

Then, mark your calendars folks…this Saturday is Small Business Saturday!
Get out there and #ShopSmall on Saturday at all your favorite small businesses. They know your name, the way you like your hair cut, and maybe even your coffee order. They give back to the community we live in, they have personality, many are locally owned, and your town would feel like a very different place if they were gone. I know it might be easier to get online and shop from your couch, but we will have Champagne and Christmas Music, Communityand Camaraderie! And rumor has it, Christopher the balloon making Elf will be back at Gum Tree Kids to entertain everyone young and old.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving. And as always, Think Globally, Shop and Eat Locally!
