Chan Luu: One of Gum Tree's longtime favorite designers, Chan Luu is a Vietnamese-born, Los Angeles-based designer who started her business in 1996. A champion of fair labor practices and artisan craftsmanship, we love her naturally inspired pieces. In 2021 her niece and longtime head of design, Tessa Tran, stepped into the role of CEO and Creative Director, bringing her own distinctive eye and youthful energy to the brand.
