It’s Thursday and that means we’ll be staying open late (till 8pm) at Gum Tree for some holiday shopping. Tonight is a treat, as my husband Will has agreed to a cooking demo!
Thanksgiving is a week away and everyone is either cooking or heading to a party…so we thought we’d give you some ideas for Appetizers to make for your Thanksgiving Dinner.
He’s not doing it alone…he’s got Martha on his side. We’ve picked some recipes from Martha’s fabulous new book, Martha Stewart’s Appetizers.
From 6-8pm he’ll be teaching you how to make….
- Caramelized Onion and Gorgonzola Mini Quiche
- Cherry Tomato and Pecorino Mini Quiche
- Bacon and Caramelized Onion Dip
- Assorted Ricotta Crostinis
Come on down, because someone has to eat all this food, and there may be a cocktail or two to be had. And shopping. And fun.
Many of our neighbors will be open too! So grab a friend and come downtown Hermosa tonight to Shop Small.

This Saturday, it’s the Downtown Hermosa Sidewalk Festival!
From 10-6 all over town, there will be live music, face painting, cookie decorating, an elf scavenger hunt, and I even heard a rumor it might snow from some rooftops…
At our shops, take 10% off all purchases and get a Gum Tree or Gum Tree Kids tote with every purchase. Free Hot Cocoa and Mini Muffins with every order in the cafe. We even have a jolly old Elf making balloon animals at the Kids Shop!
